Melanie Vasseur created Vasseur Skincare in 1987 because she had serious skin issues and could not find products on the market that were both natural and effective. The all-natural products she tried did not work, and the professional grade products she tried were somewhat effective, but were loaded with harsh chemicals, preservatives and parabens.

But the story of Vasseur Skincare really began much earlier, in 1966, when Melanie was age 11. At 11, Melanie developed severe acne and became so insecure about her skin she could not even look people in the eyes. Desperate to combat her acne, she tried virtually every product she could find - both prescription and non-prescription - with little to no results.

At age 18, Melanie decided to take matters into her own hands by going to college to study both nutrition and chemistry, with the goal of creating a skin care line to prevent others from having to endure the same agony she experienced as an acne-afflicted teenager.

After she graduated college, she became a nutrition educator and began the early development of her skin care line. As her skin began to show remarkable improvements, her students wanted to know her secret – and try whatever she was using! This marked the beginning of Vasseur Skincare, and now, over 20 years later, Melanie's exclusive fresh, natural and professional grade products have produced amazing results for her thousands of devoted clients. And despite the line's incredible growth and success over the years, all products are still made in small batches by hand...just now with a lot more hands.

Now Melanie is in her mid-50's and has developed and launched an anti-aging line that contains the most potent and cutting-edge anti-aging ingredients available on the market today (and if you don't believe us, just look at Melanie's skin)! 

In addition to her deep passion for skin care, Melanie loves to garden, travel, read and do yoga. She has a wonderful husband, Quentin and two beautiful kids, Brittany and Jameson.
