Our History

Melanie, a Nutritional Cosmetic Chemist and Medical Esthetician is a leading authority on the science of skin care, is an author and has appeared on television and radio shows worldwide. A featured speaker at national trade shows such as the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conference, Melanie is also regular columnist for Dermascope, American Spa, Spa Management, Skin Deep, and other top beauty publications. She continues to contribute to the spa and skin care field as a faculty member teaching advanced skin care education to doctors, estheticians, cosmetologists, and nurses.

Melanie dealt with stubborn acne and suffered from emotional scars since age 11. She unsuccessfully tried conventional oral and topical medications prescribed by dermatologists. Regular facials helped her temporarily. At 27, the blemishes reappeared and although skin care science had advanced, Retin A and antibiotics had irritating effects and her skin spots remained.

Melanie became frustrated by traditional approaches and was determined to clear her acne for good.  A nutrition educator at the time, she began to create her own all-natural skin care treatments. Within a short period of time, her skin showed remarkable improvements, so much so that her students wanted to know her secret – and try whatever she was using! It marked the beginning of Vasseur Scientific Skincare and now over 20 years later, Melanie’s exclusive, natural products have produced amazing results for thousands of devoted users!
